I prefer the fewest steps: select a service, pay, and that’s it. Too many clicks, and people get confused.

Colors and fonts matter too. I once used a font that was too small, and people got nervous at the kiosk because they couldn’t read the text.

I also like having clear on-screen prompts. That way the user is less unsure about what to do next, and doesn’t abandon the process halfway through.
