I tried platforms a couple of times where, in case of a dispute, the money was frozen in escrow and there was a special arbiter. That’s good protection.

For my peace of mind, I'd rather choose well-established platforms with a solid reputation than rely on after-sale guarantees.

Sometimes the service promises compensation if a trade goes wrong. But you have to read the terms carefully, because it doesn't always apply
